Ladies summer league team match vs Hindu Club

Pinelands ladies entered a summer league team for the 2009/2010 season. The team consisted of 3rd and 4th (L2 and L4) team players and we played 14 matches. We won 7, drew 1 and lost 6, scoring a magnificent 24 goals!

The off-season playing time has been great preparation for many of the players who joined summer league from the 2009 grass side. The improvement for individuals and the team as a whole was evident when the team took on Hindu Club, an touring side from Buenos Aires, Argentina, on 3 March. Although we drew the game, the team played some awesome hockey and had several brilliant attempts at goal. Hopefully we’ll be converting more of the opportunities when the season kicks off in April.
